Mac Modem Script Frequently Asked
Questions
How do I make Mac modem scripts?
Apple has a free Modem Script Generator that may help.
You enter some basic commands for your modem, such as the
best init string and the commands to disable hardware error
correction and hardware data compression, and it writes most
of the code.
Once it generates the CCL file, the real work begins.
You'll need to edit the file by
hand. The current version of Modem Script Generator
doesn't know about K56flex and x2 connection speeds, so
you'll have to crib those from another CCL file, then
renumber the lines in your file. It's a non-trivial process,
so be sure you've tried the Other
sources of modem scripts page before you undertake the
project.
