MSNBC discusses the stalled course of the DSL industry. DoMoCo, Japan's maker of the i-mode phone, is delaying the rollout of high-speed 3G mobile phones until October, citing problems with the state of 3G. Wireless has been a bust this year, with Intel dropping HomeRF support and Microsoft dropping HomeRF and BlueTooth support in Windows XP. Amazon reported lower-than-expected losses and expects to be profitable before the end of they year. EarthLink has cut 900 positions related to its integration of OneMain. The Delisting ReportPSINet has been delisted from NASDAQ. The company does not plan to appeal. The company had previously warned that their stock likely had no value, and reported that it has defaulted on equipment leases and would probably seek bankruptcy protection. Former I-opener maker NetPliance faces delisting. The company's stock has been valued at less than a dollar per share since late 2000. NASDAQ sent a delisting warning to DSL provider Covad Communications. Covad has yet to file its fourth quarter 2000 financial results, but says the results will be complete in time to avert delisting. And that's about itNot much news this week.
