56K Upgrades for Gateway and Logicode Modems

Gateway 2000 expects x2 upgrades for their 33600 TelePath modems to be available by mid-July. You can register to be notified by email when the update is available.

Logicode has extended their upgrade offer until July 31, 1997. They've also lowered the price, and made the upgrade available to owners of any Logicode modem. Details are on the 56K.COM upgrade page.

More Bondage

If you're interested in bonding modems, you'll be glad to know that the next version of Windows 95, code-named Memphis, will support bonding, according to a PC WEEK story.

There's no need to wait for Memphis to bond multiple modem connections into a high-speed connection. The necessary ingredients are available in Microsoft's ISDN Accelerator Pack, which despite its name works with regular analog modems. You can get all the information you need at Matt's Load Balancing with Windows 95 page.
